in Version “0.8.9.3”, if I select a row and get MaxContentCol of sheet then it returns 99 instead of user filled last column index.

Please check the code to see whether or not there is any code like SetRangeStyles or SetRangeDataFormat, these methods will affect the MaxContentCol and MaxContentRow properties.
In addition, borders also considered as content and affect these two properties, please remote borders or keep not setting borders and try again.
If you still get same result please post some code and let us to test it.
